I'm Britt Coombs. I tell stories.
I tell those stories in lots of different ways. As a growth or revenue marketer, I've pitched products and solutions to people around the world, hoping to convert their curiosity into an open, a click, a download, a purchase. Today I build marketing campaigns at HashiCorp for ads, web, workshops and more — blending analytical precision and narrative craft — to speak to business and technical leaders about challenges they may face in security and infrastructure.
As a content marketer, I more often told stories about people. Playwrights, surgeons, entrepreneurs, artists, philanthropists — you name it. Constantly I met strangers, talked to them, learned their stories and then worked to translate the depths and intricacies of their life and work into something that, hopefully, inspired others and perhaps also informed. I moved from content to demand generation about eight years ago — when my startup was acquired by Oracle — but I still love to write and imagine I always will.
Beyond marketing, I enjoy tennis, chess, nature, and learning about many topics, especially mythology, history and art. I try to stay connected to Dartmouth, my alma mater, by volunteering as an interviewer with local high school students who've applied — to learn their stories. In my spare time I'm also an avid Bike Angel in Brooklyn, New York, with the Lyft Citi Bike program, helping to move bikes from areas that have lots of them to the neighborhoods that need them most.
